Two days after his first laps around Spa this campaign, Ryan went out in qualifying and dropped a lap that all but matched the car’s theoretical limit — his fastest here on record by well over two seconds. The race had a curveball early when contact from another car forced an unplanned stop, but Ryan settled straight back in, finding his rhythm again within a lap or two. Traffic in the closing stages made for a tense final stretch through the fastest part of the lap, and he kept his composure to see it through to the finish. A strong weekend at one of the sport’s most demanding circuits.
